Theodora & Justinian | Polymer Clay Earrings
Theodora and Justinian were influential figures in the 6th-century Byzantine Empire. Theodora, once an actress, became empress and a key advisor to Justinian. Together, they implemented significant reforms, including the codification of Roman law and advances in women's rights. Justinian commissioned the construction of the Hagia Sophia, a masterpiece of Byzantine architecture that became a central place of worship and a symbol of Orthodox Christianity.
The mosaics of Theodora and Justinian, located in the Basilica of San Vitale in Ravenna, Italy, are remarkable examples of Byzantine art.
Theodora & Justinian earrings are designed and handcrafted by an Anatolian artisan in Turkey and are inspired by those mosaics.
Material: Polymer Clay, brass, stainless steel stud
